Group psychological support helps many people, but it is not right for every situation. Please read this before signing up.

If you need help right now

Re.Mind is not an emergency service. We are not on duty around the clock and do not answer messages in a crisis. If life is at risk — yours or someone else's — call one of these numbers:

  • 101 — ambulance (Magen David Adom)
  • 100 — police
  • 1201 — ERAN, round-the-clock emotional first aid line
  • 1-800-363-363 — NATAL, support for trauma caused by war and terror

What a group is not

  • It is not a medical service. We do not diagnose, and we do not prescribe or stop medication.
  • It does not replace individual therapy, psychiatric care or treatment by a doctor. A group can run alongside them — and often works best that way.
  • It is not an emergency service and not a 24-hour helpline.
  • It is not a guarantee of results. Change depends among other things on your own involvement and on what happens in life outside the group.

When the format may not fit

Group work requires a certain degree of stability. In the acute phase of a crisis, with active thoughts of self-harm, in a condition requiring medical supervision, or with an active addiction, it is safer to begin with individual or medical care.

Before the group starts, the facilitator may talk with you or offer a questionnaire. If we see that the format is not right at the moment, we will say so plainly and, where we can, point you somewhere more suitable. That is not a refusal of help but honesty about the limits of the method.
