Yesterday you were making decisions under extreme conditions. Today you are expected to go back to routine, to your family or an empty flat, to work and to the supermarket — as if nothing had happened.
A closed space for those who came back from reserve duty and find that what they went through cannot always be put into words at home.
The everyday problems of the people around you can seem small or meaningless, while your body and mind are still on high alert. It is hard to relax. Hard to switch into "civilian" mode. Sometimes it is hard even to understand why.
There are experiences that are not easy to talk about with a partner, with parents, children or friends. Sometimes out of a wish to protect them, sometimes because there are no words, and sometimes out of a fear that nobody who was not there could really understand. Alongside this can come heavy memories, irritability, hypervigilance — or, on the contrary, a sense of numbness and distance.
Sometimes what you need is simply a place where you do not have to explain the whole context. Where you do not have to weigh every word. Where you do not have to apologise. And where you do not have to fear being judged for what you feel.
This is a closed group space built on confidentiality, mutual respect and recognition of the experience each person brings with them. It is led by professionals familiar with the effects of operational service, combat stress, and the abrupt transition from extreme conditions back to civilian life.
Group work can help reduce hypervigilance, process the experiences of service and integrate them gradually into civilian life, and come closer again to family and to the people who matter to you. And at the same time — to find a place among people to whom you do not have to explain everything from the beginning.
Cost per session: 190 ₪, duration 90 minutes, group of 6–8 people.
