The world expects me to understand and adapt to rules that are not always clear to me — and it is exhausting.
An adapted, accepting space where a different way of thinking, feeling and experiencing the world is not treated as a flaw.
The constant effort of looking "like everyone else" — sometimes called social camouflage, or masking — can exact a heavy price. After hours of adapting and holding yourself together outside the house, sensory overload, exhaustion or an emotional storm can arrive once you are home.
It can be hard to tell what the person in front of you actually meant. Are they serious or joking? What does a change of tone signify? When is the right moment to join a conversation, and when to stop? That uncertainty can turn social interaction into a significant source of stress.
There is a genuine wish for connection, for friendship, for people with whom you can share deep interests. And alongside it, an experience — often repeated — of being misunderstood, labelled, rejected or left out.
We create a group space that is adapted, clear and accepting. The difference in how each participant perceives and experiences the world is not presented as a problem to be "fixed", but as the starting point for understanding their needs, strengths and difficulties.
The group can help teenagers recognise states of overload, develop clear and practical tools for communication and social connection, and reduce the anxiety that surrounds interaction with others. No less importantly, it offers the experience of connection and belonging inside a group where you do not constantly have to hide or explain who you are.
Cost per session: 190 ₪, duration 90 minutes, group of 6–8 people.
