Accessibility statement

We regard accessibility as part of the service itself: someone in crisis should not have to fight an interface. The site was built with people with visual, hearing and motor impairments in mind, and with those who use screen readers.

Level of conformance

The site was developed in line with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Accessibility Adjustments to Services), 2013, and follows IS 5568 (Israeli standard), WCAG 2.1 level AA.

What has been done

  • The whole site can be operated from the keyboard, and focus is visible on every interactive element.
  • Page structure is marked up with headings and landmarks, and there is a "skip to main content" link.
  • Images have text alternatives, and decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
  • The contrast of text and of control borders meets level AA.
  • The fields of the sign-up form are linked to their labels, hints and error messages in code, not only visually.
  • Wide tables can be scrolled from the keyboard as well.
  • Animations are switched off when the reduced-motion setting is enabled in the operating system.
  • The layout does not break at up to 200% zoom or on narrow screens.
  • Nowhere is meaning conveyed by colour alone.
  • The site is available in Russian, Hebrew and English; in Hebrew the interface is laid out right to left.
  • A dark theme is available: it follows the system setting and can be switched with a button in the header.

Known limitations

  • Sessions take place on Zoom, and we cannot influence Zoom's own accessibility. If you need captions or another adjustment during a session, tell us in advance and we will arrange it together with the facilitator.
  • Individual materials received from partners may not be fully adapted. We fix them as they come to light.

How to report a barrier

If something on the site was not accessible, write to the accessibility coordinator. Describe the page, the action, and the device or software you were using. We reply within 14 days and tell you what we will fix and by when.
